How Do I Cancel the Cancellation of My Yahoo! Account?

Your Yahoo! account is a communication lifeline. It controls not only your ability to use Yahoo! Messenger, but also to send and receive emails and to use services like Yahoo! News and search toolbars. If you delete your account yourself, it is extremely difficult to restore. You will need a very compelling reason to convince a Yahoo! customer service agent to recover it. However, if someone else has deleted your account without your permission, and you can convince a customer service representative of this, your account can be restored.

Contact a Yahoo! customer service agent at Help.yahoo.com.

Look near the top of the page and locate the tab that says "Contact Us." Click on this tab to refresh the page.

Find the "Account Information" link under the letter A. Click on this link. When the page refreshes, scroll down to the center of the page and find the "Live Chat" text box to chat with a Yahoo! customer care agent.

Be polite when speaking to the agent. Explain that your Yahoo! account was deleted without your permission and that you'd like to cancel the cancellation of your account. The customer care agent may or may not restore your account and will advise you as to how to protect your recovered account.
